BandScreen is a peer-to-peer screen sharing app. It does not connect to the internet, does not use any servers, and does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data. Everything happens on your device and on your local network. Subscription payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; BandScreen never sees your payment information.
This Privacy Policy and Terms of Use ("Policy") governs your use of the BandScreen iOS application (the "App"). "BandScreen," "we," "us," or "our" refers to the publisher of the App as identified on the App Store listing.
By installing or using the App, you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction (or a minor with parental consent) and agree to be bound by this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
BandScreen does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. This includes names, email addresses, location data, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, payment information, or the content of any Broadcast or message. The App contains no code that uploads any such data to BandScreen or any third party. There are no third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, or advertising libraries in the App.
The following is processed on your device only and is never sent to BandScreen:
The App uses Apple's standard local network peer discovery. iOS will prompt you for local network permission on first use. Your chosen display name may be visible to other devices on the same network running the App. Do not use a display name that reveals sensitive information.
Performance Disclaimer: As transmission occurs strictly over your Local Network (P2P), the quality, frame rate, and stability of the broadcast are directly linked to the performance of your local network hardware and environmental interference. BandScreen is not liable for performance issues caused by your network infrastructure.
The App does not communicate with any BandScreen-controlled server. The only network traffic that may leave your local network is initiated by Apple itself (App Store, in-app purchase validation, system diagnostics), governed by Apple's own privacy policy, not ours.
Hosting features require an in-app subscription (weekly, monthly, or yearly auto-renewing options, with possible free trials). Viewer use is always free.
Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store. Prices and applicable taxes are determined and displayed by Apple at the time of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. To manage or cancel, use App Store account settings. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction, including 14 in Türkiye and 16 in certain EU member states). The App does not knowingly collect data from any user, including children.
Because BandScreen holds no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct, delete, or port. If you believe otherwise or have questions about this Policy, contact us at the address in Section 16. We will respond within 30 days (or sooner as required by applicable law), including under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, KVKK, and other applicable regulations.
California residents: BandScreen does not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising, as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
If you are a Host, this section applies to you.
By initiating a Broadcast or sending a quick message, you accept sole legal responsibility for all content transmitted, including any content visible from notifications, third-party apps, or system UI elements on your screen. You are solely responsible for safeguarding the Room Code and for disclosing it only to intended Viewers. Possession of the Room Code is sufficient access.
Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold BandScreen and its affiliates harmless from any third-party claims, legal actions, damages, or liabilities (including attorney fees) arising from the content of your broadcasts, any copyright infringement, or your violation of third-party rights.
BandScreen has no technical ability to monitor, moderate, intercept, or remove Broadcast content. Any diligence — closing apps, silencing notifications, reviewing screen content — must be completed before you start a Broadcast.
You represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights to share any content visible in your Broadcast, and that such content does not infringe any intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person.
Prohibited content includes, without limitation: illegal content; child sexual abuse material or any sexualization of minors (zero tolerance); content that infringes third-party intellectual property; defamation, harassment, threats, or hate speech; unauthorized disclosure of third-party personal data; malware or phishing content; and any attempt to reverse-engineer or bypass the App's subscription enforcement.
Viewers may use iOS system features (screenshot, screen recording) to capture a Broadcast. BandScreen cannot detect or prevent this. Do not Broadcast content you do not want captured.
The App minimizes attack surface by avoiding internet connectivity, third-party SDKs, and persistent media storage. Local Network communications rely on iOS's built-in encryption. No security model is perfect; local network traffic may be intercepted by someone with physical or radio access to the same network. You use the App at your own risk.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. BandScreen does not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BandScreen's total liability to you for any claim arising from the App shall not exceed the greater of (i) the total amount you paid to Apple for App subscriptions in the 12 months preceding the claim, and (ii) US$50. BandScreen is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
The Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple Standard EULA") applies to your use of the App and is incorporated by reference: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
This Policy is between you and BandScreen only. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Policy and may enforce it accordingly.
This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Istanbul Çağlayan Courts (İstanbul Çağlayan Mahkemeleri ve İcra Daireleri), except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence grant you the right to bring proceedings locally (including EU consumers under Brussels Ia Regulation, and Turkish consumers under Law No. 6502).
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top will be updated, and material changes will be communicated in-app or through the App Store listing. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance.
