NoteAlive Privacy Policy

NoteAlive ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is deeply committed to protecting it. NoteAlive is designed from the ground up to be a 100% on-device meeting assistant.

This Privacy Policy explains what information our application collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. Zero Cloud Processing & Zero Data Collection

NoteAlive does not rely on any remote servers, cloud infrastructure, or external APIs to process your data.

• No Accounts: We do not require you to create an account.
• No Analytics: We do not embed any third-party tracking or analytics software (no crashlytics, no behavioral trackers).
• No Network Calls: The app does not make network calls to transmit your audio, transcripts, or notes.

2. Audio and Microphone Usage

NoteAlive requests access to your device's microphone to provide real-time transcription and speaker recognition during your meetings.

• In-Memory Processing: Audio streams (PCM buffers) are processed strictly in your device's active memory (RAM) and are permanently released immediately after processing.
• No Audio Storage: Your audio recordings are never written to disk, saved locally, or transmitted to any server.

3. On-Device Artificial Intelligence

NoteAlive utilizes Apple's native Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence) and Apple Natural Language frameworks to generate meeting summaries, extract entities, and analyze sentiment.

• All Artificial Intelligence processing happens locally on your iPhone's Neural Engine.
• Neither your transcripts nor the AI-generated summaries are shared with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other third-party AI provider.

4. Voice Profiles and Biometric Data

To recognize different speakers (e.g., distinguishing you from a counterparty), NoteAlive creates a mathematical representation (an "embedding") of your voice using an on-device Core ML model.

• Secure Storage: Your voice embedding is stored securely in your device's encrypted iOS Keychain.
• Local Use Only: This data never leaves your device and cannot be reverse-engineered to recreate your actual voice.
• Complete Control: You can delete your voice profile and all associated data at any time from the app's Settings menu.

5. Local Data Storage (Transcripts and Summaries)

All generated transcripts, meeting summaries, and PDF reports are stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. You have full ownership of this data. If you delete the app, or choose to delete your data from the Settings menu, it is permanently erased from your device.

6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

NoteAlive offers Premium and Pro subscriptions processed entirely through Apple's App Store (StoreKit).

• We do not collect, process, or store your credit card information, billing address, or personal identifiers.
• All payment processing and subscription management are governed directly by Apple's Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we introduce new features that require a change to how data is handled (e.g., adding an optional iCloud sync feature in the future), we will update this Privacy Policy and explicitly request your consent within the app.
